Book this Tour

Day 1: Meet at our hotel in Siem Reap at 11.00am for introductions and tour briefing. We start with a walking tour of the Old Market district, for the first of our many photo opportunities. After lunch, we take a short drive to a local village, before our sunset shoot  at Angkor,  returning in time for dinner of typical Cambodian flavour (L D)

 

Day 2: Full day, first to Angkor Thom Complex the great Bayon Temple. We have ample time to explore and compose shots. We will enjoy lunch within the Angkor Park. During the afternoon we visit Angkor Wat, where we spend ample time studying composition and exposure compensation. We stay in the complex for sunset. (B L )

 

Day 3: 5am pick up and start off at Angkor Wat for Sunrise before moving to the atmospheric temple of Banteay Kdei and the amazing jungle temple of Ta Prohm with sinister root systems of huge trees. Lunch and then visiting the brick temple of Pre Rup. The highlight to the day is Preah Khan, which is a fabulous and vast temple. Back to hotel approx 16.00. Free time then photo workshop at our hotel (B L)

Day 4: 07.00 departure to visit the largest community on the Tonle Sap Lake at Kompong Khleang. We take our places on our own motor-boat, to cruise the estuary, passing unique tall stilt-houses and then onto the Tonle Sap Lake. Here we will see a whole floating village - a floating market and even a floating school. Lunch is taken in the village - before we  drive to Phnom Penh (4.5 hours) in time for dinner (B L D)

 

Day 5: Full day Phnom Penh City tour inc Royal Palace, S21 Genocide Museum, Choueng Ek Killing Fields and Central or Russian Market. Evening free time along the lively Mekong Riverside. (B L)

 

Day 6: 07.00 board our Mekong Express coach direct to Saigon (HCMC) (6 hours). Check in to HCMC hotel, rest and then dinner at local Vietnamese restaurant. (B D)
 

Day 7: Walking photo tour of main city including, Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace, General Post Office and War Remnants Museum. Lunch at local restaurant along the way. Transfer to airport for late afternoon flight to Da Nang and then onward transfer (30 minutes) to Hoi An. (B L D)

Day 8: Walking photo tour of Hoi An Old Town, lunch at local restaurant – free time until 16.00, then sunset photo cruise along river, also visiting a  local village. Sample excellent local cuisine for dinner at one of many riverside restaurants.(B L).  

Day 9:  Morning departure to Hue, driving over the Hai Van Mountain Pass and stopping by Lan Co beach for lunch. Check into hotel and then free time until 16.00 – for a guided cyclo tour of city followed by dinner and photo critique.(B L D)

Day 10: Early morning to Hue Citadel and the Forbidden City, followed by countryside and village drive and lunch by lagoons. Rest during early afternoon and then transfer to Hue train station for 17.00 sleeper train overnight to Hanoi.(B L ).

Day 11:  Arrive Hanoi  train station early morning, meet our guide and transfer to hotel for breakfast. Take our Hanoi City Tour visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of Literature, Museum of Ethnology, Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter. Our final photo workshop and farewell dinner is taken in our hotel (B L D)

Day 12: Tour concludes after hotel check-out and transfer to Hanoi airport (HAN). Option to take extension tours to Ha Long Bay and /or Sapa and Back Ha.

Temples of Angkor.
The majesty and scale of this 11th century capital of the Khmer Empire is simply breathtaking.

Tonle Sap Lake.
The largest freshwater lake in Asia, with unique stilt-houses and floating villages.

Phnom Penh.
Cambodia’s capital  is a fascinating city now coming to terms with it’s tragic history of war and genocide under the brutal Khmer Rouge regime.

Ho Chi Minh City.
With over 7 million people, some 3 million motorbikes, fantastic buildings, great food and extraordinary history - Saigon is an experience of its own.

Hoi An.
Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Old Town, market, houses and Riverside are a photographers dream !

Hue.
Majesty and culture combine in this most revered and historical ancient capital with it’s Citadel and Forbidden City.

Hanoi Old Quarter.
A fascinating myriad of streets, all specializing in a particular trade or commodity. Fantastic for photos day or night-time.
